Happy Birthday to ME!
December 18, 2008
Well, I am not one to get all excited about my own birthday, but I thought I’d show you a couple cute pictures Missy took of me the other day! I am absolutely uncomfortable in front of the camera and have not felt like I was very pretty in pictures, but I have to say that these are pretty good 🙂 Thanks Miss!!!
Allen Family Session!
October 28, 2008
Well, there are always those times when a mother worries that after the photo session is all over that there is no chance that we got something good. We always know better, and assure her that we got super cute stuff. I have to admit that there are moments when I worry as well, but I always find out that we STILL get great stuff! This little bundle of joy decided to give me great smiles for the first setting, but after that she decided it was time to be done…we were definitely not done yet! So with a few breaks here and there, and a most welcomed cheerio snack, we coaxed this busy girl into letting me play with her a little longer. I don’t think I need to worry after choosing these as just a couple of my favorites…

I had the opportunity yesterday to shoot these three siblings. They were all so unique in their cuteness, and I just enjoyed every minute. I could’ve spent an hour with each of them separately, but it was very very cold, so I didn’t want to freeze them. I’ve known these guys a little over two years now, and I’ve always thought, “Gee, those kids would be fun to photograph!” So, Here we are!
Can you tell me what is wrong with this picture??
Anna is just at the age where you just don’t feel comfortable in you own skin, no matter how incredably beautiful you are. I hope she likes these pictures…if not now, maybe in 10-15 yrs 😉 Just look at how beautiful you are Anna!
Kenzie’s Senior Pics: Sneak Peek
September 11, 2008
Hi guys,
Sorry it’s taken a little while! I was so excited for this shoot especially when Mackenzie mentioned “WATER”!! I had a blast with you guys, and I think we got some great stuff…I am out of town for the next four days, but when I get back, we’ll need to go over our shedules and figure out when you can make it up to see me 😉 We took these pictures in Corvallis, Oregon where I used to live and where I new we could find water, sand volleyball, softball, urban, field, and countless other settings within a two minute radius. Corvallis is a great place, but I must say it was brave for Kenzie and her mom to be here since they are from Eugene, Oregon, which many of you oregonions know is the home of the Ducks, and Corvallis (being the home of the Beavers) can seem unwelcoming to such rivals. I don’t think anybody on the streets could tell either way, thanks goodness, and fun was had by all!
My boys! & First Blog Contest EVER!
August 15, 2008
These two are getting so big! I just played around today with lighting in my house just getting a feel for what works and what doesn’t work…I’m still not confident yet in what I’m going for, but I loved these ones just cause their mine, and if they turned out, it was an accident! I just need to be more consistent, and then I’ll feel better. Let me know what you think!
Also, I’d like to know who is out there and who checks out mine and Missy’s blogs on a regular basis! SO, I’m running a little contest…I will be giving away a $20 gift card to Borders Bookstore to the person who leaves the 20th comment on this blog entry! Tell us a little about who you are, what your all about, anything you’d like to share about yourself. This will be fun!
Jackson cooperated suprisingly well, but I was letting him do what ever he wanted…even pull Henry ALMOST all the way off his bed!
These three just make me smile…I think Jackson is so sweet!
Jackson loves picking at his feet! Funny little quirk…
Jackson had to go down for a nap, so I played in other parts of the house with Henry…this was very spontaneous, so my house may not look the cleanest! Ooops.
I did a lot of stuff inside, but I really liked a lot of these. It was just way too hot to “work” (no AC!!!!), so we went outside and cooled off.
And, the sleeping prince 🙂 He’s been funny lately and has been setting up his sleep spot on the floor next to his bed, or on my comfy recliner. Another funny little quirk 😉
Brother and Sister: Best friends and worst enemies!!
June 26, 2008
These guys were super cute to work with, although the little sister had this conditioned response every time I asked her brother to hug her or kiss her, or do anything touching her! She would SCREAM!!! Like she new that danger was lurking! There was no forgivness for this brother even when he was trying to be sweet 🙂
This may look like a sweet pictures, but if you could she her face!!!
Tapasa Sista’s!!!
June 17, 2008
Well, I had the oppotunity to take pictures of these two girls a few weeks ago, and I know they’ve been waiting very patiently for me to post some pictures of them on my blog! I have gotten a little behind in blogging, but I finally took pictures of the last sister today, so I promised I’d try and get a few up by tonight. (There are actually four of them, but I posted pictures of their baby sister a few weeks ago before I got totally swamped! Check em out…
This one very fashiony, I love it…she was whipping out all sorts of poses
She saw this bus and thaught it would be cool to get some shots!
Now, here is that last sister that I did today! She is seven years old and had a very short attention span, but we managed to get a lot of great and very sweet pictures:)
I love her expression in this, she is so beautiful
and this one is just…well…priceless.
We snuck into a laudry-mat to experiement a little
Then she was done once she saw this lady bug, and just wanted to play. Super fun!
Reverse Psychology!
May 22, 2008
I had a fun time playing with these boys yesterday! They were full of personality and ready to play! I titled this post because of the experience I had with the bigger brother though…he was super handsome, but was a little camera shy. Well, he didn’t really like being put on the spot, so I tried to keep it light and low presure until the very end, and I focused just on him and said, “okay, now be serious! Give me the most serious face you got!” Then I kept with it by saying, “goooood jooob, Uh oh, don’t smile! Wait, NO DON’T!” Then he busted it out. In the end, that super great smile was out of down right defiance!
